I am currently a second year critical care fellow who will be graduating soon and will be practicing in an open ICU with neurological patients and I find this book very useful as a quick review of common ICU disorders that one practicing in the ICU will encounter every single day.
This book is in an easily readable format with glossy paper and excellent images of the pictures especially CT scans.
I recommend this book to all the current critical care fellows in training especially if they will be practicing in an open ICU in the near future after their fellowship.

It will not replace Greenberg, and should not, but is far better for learning during the initial stages of residency. It reads very easily and covers the essential points on most all neurosurgical topics. Very nice figures, diagrams, and tables. I highly suggest every intern and junior level resident start here to establish a framework from which to build a strong neurosurgical knowledge base. Supplement with other Greenberg and other well-known resources as needed.
