The book is a good review of the state of the art. Unfortunatley, the state of the art isn't yet where we need it to be. I think this book is a very good resource for anyone who has to deal with someone compromised in cognitive executive functions, not just as a clinician, but also for a parent, friend or family member. The book assumes the problems are the results of brain injury, but the concepts apply to people with any congenital executive disfunction like ADD as well.
